The Greater New York Dental Education Foundation is established by the Second District Dental Society ("SDDS") and the New York County Dental Society ("NYCDS") for the purpose of raising and administering funds from corporate and individual donors to promote and support mainly educational programs to be presented mostly at the Greater New York Dental Meeting ("GNYDM"), and to specifically help in dissemination of newly emerging, cutting edge scientific and technological information in Dentistry for which financial support or sponsorship is limited or not available and for such other purposes as are set forth in its Certificate of Incorporation, as from time to time amended, namely to create, form and establish an organization to provide educational information to the dental profession and general public regarding the importance of proper dental care; to provide information regarding the link between poor dental care and overall physical health; and to hold, conduct and organize meetings, discussions, lectures, workshops and forums on various subjects, topics and themes relating to issues affecting oral health. The Foundation may sponsor programs for these purposes at venues and facilities, including those of the SDDS, the NYCDS and the GNYDM.

The Foundation shall be a nonstock Corporation organized and operated exclusively for educational purposes and no part of the net earnings of the Corporation shall inure to the benefit of any individual and no director, officer, employee or agent of the Corporation shall receive or be entitled to receive any pecuniary profit from the operations thereof, except for reimbursement of expenses related to responsibilities performed as a member of the Board of Directors.
No part of the activities of the Foundation shall be carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, or participation in, or intervening in (including the publication or distribution of statements), any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
